I had some people look into it. No one in his "hometown" remembers him or his family ever having lived there. Wherever he came from, it certainly wasn't there.

He was chicken and wanted to run away at first, and kept telling Bu-ling not to fight, but Bu-ling did anyway. Then guess what happened! He fought the monster too nano da! He got a sword and hit it a bunch of times and poked one of its eyes out, and Bu-ling hit it with a big rock no da!
